Event Description

Magnetism is a physical phenomenon characterized by the force of attraction or repulsion between objects. It is a fundamental part of electromagnetism, caused by the motion of electric charges, such as electrons moving through a wire or spinning within atoms. Every magnet creates an invisible area around it called a magnetic field, which exerts force on other magnetic materials or moving charges. People have magnetic properties. We use the term "magnetic" to describe someone with high charisma or a compelling personality that naturally draws others toward them. Psychologists note that magnetic people often exhibit high emotional intelligence and are fully present in their interactions. But there is far more to our personal magnetism than meets the eye. Join us for a series of real-life experiments in your very own personal magnetism to understand, unlock, and illuminate your own magnetic path.

Presenter Paul Grubb has a PhD in Social Personality Psychology with interests in the development of one's personal identity narrative in the context of social, cultural, geographical, historical, and planetary forces. He recently celebrated fifty years as a Rosicrucian member.
