Event Description

Vienna – the City That Inspired Musical Genius

Join Grand Master Julie Scott in exploring the cultural, economic, and artistic environment of Vienna, Austria in the 1700s and 1800s that set the stage for musical genius to flourish. We’ll learn interesting facts about the lives and works of iconic composers such as Franz Joseph Haydn, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, and Ludwig van Beethoven, as well as Franz Schubert, Johann Strauss II, and Johannes Brahms. Through their stories, we will uncover what made Vienna so inspiring for these composers and others, and through their music, we will let our souls be transported by some of the greatest masterpieces ever composed.
